Delta Township District Library is seeking a Reading Tutor to assist local students in grades K-12 with basic reading and writing help as part of the Homework Help program.
Help may include but is not limited to:
- proofreading written assignments,
- helping with spelling
- general reading help (mainly this means reading with children or having them read to you to develop basic reading skills).
- help with other subjects as needed
No expertise is required to volunteer for this position, just a general understanding of basic K-12 subjects and an interest in working with youth.
Delta Township District Library's Homework Help program is advertised to the public and runs on Mondays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Local students drop-in for help as needed. Please schedule an orientation for the week of February 3 by emailing sadams@dtdl.org.
